The DIY Pig in Blankets Kit has everything you need to dry-cure your own bacon and make a batch of beautiful cranberry sausages.
The Pökel Salz is a plain cure and produces a lovely farmhouse bacon. It comes in a resealable pouch with some recipe inspiration on the back. As this is a plain cure you can add your own herbs, sugars, or even berries to put your own twist on it.
This DIY Pigs In Blankets kit comes with a pack of chipolata casings, rusk and cranberry seasoning to make some luxurious cranberry chipolata sausages. The cranberry seasoning has long been our most popular festive seasoning. Bursting with flavour, it adds a sweetness to the pork but is not overpowering.
Once the bacon is cured for 5-7 days and the sausages are stuffed, it will be time for the fun part of wrapping those chipolatas in beautifully home-cured bacon.
This bundle comes with full instructions on how to cure your bacon and make your sausages, so it is ideal for both novice and experienced sausage makers.
Please Note you will need a sausage stuffer to make sausages. If you do not have a sausage stuffer we can recommend the TreSpade Minnie Plus or as a cheaper option, the TreSpade Manual No.8 Mincer comes with sausage-making accessories.
