Traditional HUKKI casing are a synthetic non-edible plain casing with an old-world look. Almost transparent they have high permeability lending themselves to air, smoke and water vapour accelerating the curing time and helping to create an excellent-tasting product.
Hukki casings produce all kinds of dry sausage i.e. air dried, smoked and salami. These casings have an 50mm diameter and 30cm length. This size of Hukki casings lends itself to making smaller salamis that are fast to cure. Each pack contains 25 casings with one end clipped and looped for easy filling and hanging.
To use Hukki casings briefly dip them into cold water with a 10-15% salt water solution.

These simple plain Hukki casings have a matte surface and clear appearance and look beautiful once filled with an authentic appeal that stands out. The diameter of the casing is 50mm whilst the length of the casing is 30cm with each casing clipped and lopped at one end making them easy to fill and hang.
Once the final sausage/salami product has been made HUKKI casings can be easily peeled off and ready for consumption.
